Timber Conservatory Prices

So how much does a nice timber conservatory cost?

Looking at catalogues (if you have a sense for gardens, architecture and interior design some glasshouse brochures are really quite a joy to read through!) and making first contacts to manufacturers you will quickly find out that this is the last question you are supposed to ask… It is rather difficult to even get a ball park number. And at the same time it is a common search in Google, Yahoo and the likes (which probably brought you here).

Manufacturers usually claim that conservatory prices depend on so many factors, including the amount of architectural design and preparation needed, size (yes, size matters here), material, paints, glazing, the number of extra doors and vents, flooring, heating, etc., etc., therefore a price can only be calculated after some initial planning.

Now, many people fancy a timber conservatory, and not everybody can easily say that money does not matter at all. Conservatory prices are rarely disclosed, even the mighty internet does not reveal much.  So, for all of you who always wondered, here´s an interesting screenshot of the website of one classic English conservatory manufacturer, who, as far we are aware, just for the second time displays a straightforward number:

In case you have difficulties to read it, it says: “Conservatories and Orangeries from $60,000″

It´s quite in line with what we heard some of their customers mentioning and our own experience.

Now, the manufacturer in question makes really fine, classic timber conservatories, probably as good and charming as it gets. So, if you were in hope for less, do not let this discourage you - there are more cheap conservatories on the market. Just keep searching and compare.
